Over the last decade PBD has been privileged to employ so many staff members that care deeply about the kids of this program and Beth Dolan is no exception. This year marks her 10th year teaching at PBD and we celebrate her dedication and love for the program and especially her love for her students. She has created memories, taught excellence, brought humor and love into the studio through her fun, charismatic personality and deeply caring heart. Ms. Beth has mainly taught our PreTeens during her time at PBD and earned the loyalty and love of many students. However, as much as we wish we could hold onto our beloved Ms. Beth, she has decided to turn her focus onto other areas of her life and say “goodbye” to PBD for now.

“My favorite thing about PBD is that we give youth a safe space to feel included, be challenged and to be better than they can be on their own.” Beth expressed that some of her most cherished moments and experiences were laughing and being with staff, inspiring and helping kids on her team feel valued and enough, and winning at nationals.

Ms. Beth has made sure every student is seen throughout her time at PBD and we wish her the very best as she continues to spread that love into other areas of her life. The staff, students, and your PBD community wish you the absolute best on your new focus.

Meanwhile, other staff members have taken on new roles within the organization. We’d like to welcome Shannon Hesketh as our new Communications Specialist, Erin Briones as the Dancing Classrooms Program Director and Raney Welch as the Director of Marketing and Communications.

Thanks to Executive Director, Roxanne Nielsen, and her work with financial grants on behalf of PBD, the  communications team was able to grow to a team of four staff members from a team of two.

Shannon is looking forward to using her skills to her fullest potential as a way to invest more into PBD and to assist the Communications Team with her knowledge and background. She is eager and willing to help wherever she’s needed.

Erin expressed her enthusiasm for Dancing Classrooms as the program has returned this year after a break during the pandemic. She is looking forward to contributing her efforts starting in July by adding more classrooms and Teaching Artists in the coming seasons. Erin anticipates the program to continue to flourish!

Raney will continue to delve into larger scale communications and marketing projects now with a larger team. “I’m delighted to work with a team of people who are so passionate, dedicated, and care so much about the community which we all love.”

Thank you to our community for supporting our past, present and future staff in all their endeavors and how PBD uniquely impacts each of us.
