Ladies Competition Team- Layton, UT
Our Ladies Competition team attended
the Synergy Dancesport Festival in
Layton, UT over the weekend of
January 13th. This was the first year our
dancers from PBD participated at this
fun event! Our dancers competed
their Latin Medley “Girl on Fire” for its
third and final year in both the Latin
Medley Category and Novelty
Category. The team placed 3rd and
2nd. The Ladies Competition Team
practices are 1hour and 15min every week and only had two months to prepare for this competition. The dancers put forth their best effort together in such a short amount of preparation time.
While in Utah the team also had the opportunity to take a dance master class (by invitation only) from one of the judges at the event who is a world champion Latin dancer. The dancers who participated were able to learn from a top professional Ballroom dancer and experience this opportunity with peers from other youth program centered studios.
Currently, the Ladies Competition Team is working on a new Ballroom Medley and will be competing in Rigby, Idaho at the Extreme Dancesport Invitational during the weekend of April 19th. We are thankful for the growing opportunities for our ladies throughout the West Coast and the tight friendships with other studios who also have up and coming Ladies Formation Team programs.
