Level Advancement Requirements

(IN ADDITION TO THE OVERVIEW OF ACADEMY PROGRAM DOCUMENT)

  • Able to follow classroom structure & be respectful toward instructor and peers

  • Understanding of spatial awareness

  • Able to demonstrate adequate weight transfer

  • Timing *Able to count timing out loud

  • Level advancement requires instructor recommendation

Stars 2

(THIS IS A NON-TESTING LEVEL)

STARS 2 BDM TO STARS 3 BDT
 – No Exam Required (W/QS/T/FT/VW/CC/R/S/J/PD)

  1. Dancers will automatically move up to STARS 3 Ballroom Dance Technique in 2nd grade.

  2. If dancers are recommended to move up before they are in 2ndgrade, they will receive a class recommendation form from their instructor.

  3. Dancers automatically receive a class recommendation form near the end of every dance season (April/May).
