2025-26 Key Dates
SEPTEMBER 2025
01 • No Classes – Holiday Break
15-20 • Competition Team Auditions
For any Ballroom dancer grades 3rd-12th. Students can choose to audition for a competition team allowing dancers to participate and travel to various ballroom dance competitions during the competition season (Oct – Mar). Competition teams are classified by age level (Preteen, Junior, Youth) and sometimes according to style (Latin, Ballroom). Check this page for more detailed information as auditions get closer:

17 • National Dance Day
19 • Donor Appreciation Dinner
By Invitation Only. An appreciation dinner dedicated to our PBD donors. A presentation from department directors will give a brief overview of progress in the organization.
25-28 • Summit DanceSport – Seattle, WA
Individual Competitors & some Performing Teams (team coaches will announce participation). A local dance competition. https://summitdancesport.com
29 • Competition Information Meeting/Fair • 7:30pm
For Families & Students participating on Competition Teams. Visit the studio and learn more about the formation team competition season including travel, food, lodging, preparation etc. Bring your questions and get them answered!
30 • Open Enrollment Ends – Performing Teams
2yrs-12 grade. New students can enroll in B level Performing teams through September 31st. The next Open Enrollment period will start in December.

06 • Competition Teams Begin

25 • Halloween Party/Social (Adults) – Ages 18+
NOVEMBER 2025
01 • Stars Kids Imagination & Dance Camp
Ages 4-6. Day camps captivating kid’s imaginations by engaging creativity in adventurous, theatrical, social, and dance movement activities. November is “Super Hero Camp” where kids will be learn the Polka . More info here:
14-15 • BYU Dancesport Championships – Provo, UT

22 • Academy Harvest Ball
S2 Ballroom Dance Movement – Gold Bar Academy Classes. This is an all studio event celebrating our Academy Program students with various fun dancing activities & demonstrations. All Academy dancers should plan on attending with the exception of M&M Stars and STARS 1 Dance Movement.
26-29 • No Classes – Holiday Break
DECEMBER 2025
02 • Full Performing Team Rehearsal – Winter @ Studio
Full Performing Company/No STARS Performing Teams. Exact schedule & details will be announced closer to this date. Held at the studio.
03 • Winter Concert – Rehearsal @ Theater
Full Performing Company/Including STARS Performing Teams. This is a theater tech and dress rehearsal held at the theater. All dancers are required to have their performance attire, hair and make-up done. Exact schedule & details will be announced closer to this date.
04 • Winter Concert – Show #1
Full Performing Company/Including STARS Performing Teams. Exact schedule will be announced closer to the this date.
05 • Winter Concert – Show #2
Full Performing Company/Including STARS Performing Teams. Exact schedule will be announced closer to the this date.
06 • Open Enrollment Begins – Performing Teams
Performing Teams. New students can enroll in B level Performing Teams and STARS Performing Teams through January 15th. Enrollment for next season will open in the spring. Performing Team auditions for advanced level teams will be held in June & enrollment for all performing teams will open July 1st.

For ages 7-8. Come learn fun, basic Ballroom steps. No experience or partner required. Bring your friends!
11 • ARC Exchange Event (Youth Teams)

By recommendation only. Academy dancers Bronze 1 and up who have been recommended to test out of their current Academy class will schedule and take exams with the Academy Director.

Performing Teams. Performing team enrollment has ended for this season. New dancers are welcome to join us for Friends Week in April and participate in our Summer Concert Finale for free. Enrollment for next season will open in the spring. Performing Team auditions for advanced level teams will be held in June & enrollment for all performing teams will open July 1st.

MARCH 2026
9-14 • PBD Spring Break – No Teams/Classes (Stars-Youth)
10-14 • BYU National Championships – Provo, UT
For Individual Competitors and All Competition Teams (Except Cabaret). An out of state competition for Individual competitors and competition teams. This is the longest competition PBD participates in. All dancers participating on competition teams will be responsible for all travel, accommodation, and food (individual travel).

For Individual Competitors and Cabaret & Ladies Competition Teams. An out of state competition for Individual competitors, Cabaret and Ladies competition teams. All dancers participating on competition teams will be responsible for all travel, accommodation, and food (individual travel).

20-24 • Friends Week
For anyone ages 3-12th Grade. PBD dancers can invite their friends to join Performing Teams for a day of dancing. Specific days and times for friends to visit teams are listed here: https://pacificballroom.org/friends/. Please fill out a consent form before participating.

PBD Students in High School. PBD high school students are invited to a formal evening of socializing and treats. The PBD Youth Leadership Council (YLC) and Parent Committee helps with planning themes and organizing this event.

Grades 4th-12th. Dancers are invited to audition for Performing Teams starting the following season. All dancers wanting to be considered for an advanced (A) level team must audition. Dancers who choose to participate on a B level team are encouraged but not required to audition.
20 • Full Company Cast Party
For All PBD Families. Hosted by the Parent Committee. Details coming!
