Access For All - Prop 1

Over the last decade public funding for arts and science programs has been cut in half, despite the fact that exposure to arts, science and heritage experiences can dramatically improve a child’s educational success.

Prop. 1 provides stable, dedicated funding for arts, science and heritage groups to take programs into our schools—and funding for schools to take kids out of the classroom and into our region’s world-class museums, science institutions and cultural centers.

How Proposition 1 Improves Access for All:

  • Targeted, dedicated resources to school districts countywide, with a priority on lower income schools—including transportation costs.
  • Free or reduced-price admission to arts, science and heritage programs to open doors for people on a fixed budget, including seniors, low-income and middle-class families.
  • Stable funding for hundreds of small arts organizations, community based theaters, cultural and historical centers, and museums all across King County.

AFFORDABLE FOR ALL At just $30 for the average household per year, this measure will expand access to the arts, science and heritage that makes our region a vibrant place to live, while investing in our kids and communities. PLEASE VOTE YES!
