PBD dancers impressed judges at the BYU Dancesport Championships held at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah in November.
“PBD students held their own against some of the top youth dancers in the nation!” said Adam Lee, Pacific Ballroom Dance Instructor. “I think this was our biggest group of PBD students that have ever gone.”
Some highlights of PBD student accomplishments at the competition include two couples in the finals for High School Syllabus Latin, including the winners of the category, Emily Miles and Darien Holmes. PBD was also represented in the Youth PreChampionship Latin Finals. “James and Julia were in it! That is a big deal!” said Adam Lee. “We had students competing in everything from Syllabus to Adult PreChamp and in all styles–ballroom, latin, and smooth.”
