Pacific Ballroom Dance has a new face! Watch for our new logo to be incorporated into all facets of the organization in the coming months.
The re-branding team unveiled a new logo for Pacific Ballroom Dance at the PBD Performing Company opening social on Saturday, September 24th.
Design Director Katie Mecham explained the goals for the new logo. “We wanted something that blends representational artwork, like our previous logo, and an abstract image, like most corporate logos. This is something right in the middle that represents who we are as an organization and what is so unique about us–formation ballroom dancing.”
The logo represents an overhead view of 8 couples dancing in formation–one couple for the mission and one for each of PBD’s seven values. PBD’s official colors are Jet (black) and Crystal (white), names of rhinestone colors frequently used in ballroom dance costuming. The black & white is classy and represents traditional formal ballroom dancing, but don’t be surprised to see it sprinkled with a splash of color every once in a while.
We are excited about a fresh look and where Pacific Ballroom Dance is headed in the future.
